Oakley Hall Engagement Shoot with Hannah & Russell

Hannah and Russell’s wedding is at Oakley Hall at Easter next year. Last week, we met at Oakley Hall one afternoon for their engagement photo shoot. The buildings and grounds at Oakley Hall offer some lovely backgrounds for wedding photographs and I’m looking forward to going back for the big day next year. Here are a few of my favourites from Hannah and Russell’s engagement shoot.

Pre-Wedding Shoot in Reading with Lynda & Peter

Lynda is a professional photographer and a friend, so I was delighted and honoured that she and Peter asked me to be their wedding photographer. Their wedding is in Reading in December and we met up at Caversham House Gardens, a lovely little park next to the Thames, for a pre-wedding shoot. As a photographer herself, Lynda is well aware of the importance of shooting at the right time for the best light and our plans worked out well as we were treated to some gorgeous late afternoon sun and ideal conditions. We had a fun shoot followed by a nice cup of coffee and a chat about the main event, which I’m looking forward to in a couple of months time. Here are a few of my favourite shots.

Engagement Shoot in Essex with Dips & James

Dips and James are getting married in November at Gaynes Park Barns in Essex. Sally and I met them recently for a look around the stunning venue and then drove over to Weald Country Park for their engagement photo shoot, before having a  lovely lunch at a nearby pub. Here are a few of my favourite shots.

Engagement Shoot at Virginia Water with Laura & Michael

Laura and Michael are getting married St Mary’s Church in Denham in October and having their reception in The White House at Beaumont Estate in Windsor. Last Saturday morning, we met at Virginia Water on the edge of Windsor Great Park for their engagement photo shoot. The weather was perfect and we had a nice chat while walking around the lake and taking photos. Here are a few of my favourites.

Elvetham Hotel Wedding Photography | Serena & Dale

Just a week after my previous wedding at The Elvetham Hotel, I was very happy to be back again for Serena and Dale’s big day! I was assisted again by my son and lighting man, Steve, and we started at The Elvetham, where Serena, her mum and bridesmaids were getting ready in the hotel before driving to church in a couple of lovely vintage cars. The sun was shining and excitement was building as the girls had their make-up done and watched through the window while the tables were being prepared for the reception in the conservatory below.

When the ladies were all ready and we’d taken a few portraits at the hotel, it was time for the short drive to All Saints Church in Dogmersfield, where we met Dale and his best man, and brother, Matt. The men were a bit concerned as their parents were having a bit of trouble finding the church, but they soon arrived safely before the bride and all was good. A lovely service was followed by confetti and a few photos outside the church, before everyone headed back to the Elvetham for the reception.

If I only ever got to be a wedding photographer at The Elvetham, I don’t think I could get tired of it. Every time I’ve been to this wonderful venue, it has been a memorable day with lovely people and this was no exception. The weather was fine and everyone was relaxed and had a great time. The evening celebrations started with entertainment from the excellent soul singer James Franklin and I left Serena and Dale to dance the night away with their guests, after photographing another excellent firework display.

Here are a few shots from the day.
