Wedding Photography at Oakley Hall – Amaar & Christine
I had a lovely day recently doing Amaar and Christine’s wedding photography at Oakley Hall. I’ve spend many days at this great venue during my years as a wedding photographer, but none quite like this before. This was my first outdoor wedding ceremony at Oakley Hall and the first time I got to photograph the bride and groom in two different wedding outfits during the day.
Amaar and Christine chose to wear beautiful traditional Pakistani wedding outfits for the afternoon ceremony and meal, then changed into elegant Chinese outfits for the evening. When they were both ready, we did some first look photos and then a few more before the guests started to sit down for the ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the Woodland Pavilion overlooking the beautiful grounds at the back of Oakley Hall. Then everyone moved into the Garden Pavilion for group photos, speeches and the meal. When the happy couple had changed into their evening outfits, we had another short photo shoot before they re-joined their guests. The evening included another first for me with the chance to photograph a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. After this, the party got into full swing with everybody up on the dance floor before the day ended with a spectacular firework display.
Here are a few of my favourite shots from a special day at Oakley Hall.
Oh, Ian, you’ve got some crackers here! Some really beautiful ones at the culmination of the ceremony, and I laughed out loud at that pose on the dance floor. Well done!
Thank you very much JJ. It was such a lovely wedding and everyone definitely had fun on that dance floor!
