Fran & Gary – Pre-Wedding Photoshoot at Virginia Water

Fran and Gary are getting married at Trinity Methodist Church in Basingstoke this coming Saturday. Earlier this month, we met at Virginia Water in Surrey to take a few photos and get to know each other better before the big day. This was a good example of the benefit of these sessions as, like many other people,  Gary wasn’t really looking forward to having his photo taken, but soon relaxed and I think he quite enjoyed it in the end.

This was the first time I’ve done a photoshoot at Virginia Water, but I’ll certainly be back as it’s a lovely location and we only walked around a small section of it. Here are a few of the photos we took.

Kelly & David – Engagement Photos at Shawford Down

Going away for a quick holiday before the wedding season really kicks off has got me a bit behind with my blog posts, so this one is from a few weeks ago. Kelly and David are getting married in August at St Peter’s Church in Winchester and we met a short drive away at Shawford Down for their engagement photo shoot. It’s amazing to think that this lovely, sunny afternoon back in April was warm enough for Kelly to wear a summer dress and here we are, in the middle of May, scraping frost off the car in the mornings again!

Anyway, here are a few of Kelly and David’s engagement photos and some more can be found on the Facebook page.

Janine & Luke – Engagement Session at Royal Victoria Country Park

Janine and Luke are getting married in just four weeks now, so this morning we met at the lovely Royal Victoria Country Park at Netley Abbey near Southampton to take a few pictures and help them get used to the camera for their wedding photography. The country park holds many memories for me, as I lived just down the road as a teenager and often came here with my first SLR camera when I was learning photography back in the 1980s, so it’s always nice to come back.

It was a gorgeous sunny morning and very enjoyable to walk around the park, take a few photos and chat to Janine and Luke about their wedding, which will be at St Boniface church in Chandlers Ford and afterwards at the Kings Court Masonic Centre.

Here are a few previews for you guys and the rest will be ready soon.

Marcie & Nigel – Wedding Celebration at Sandford Springs

Marcie and Nigel were married in the Philippines back in January and celebrated their wedding on the beach. Over the Easter weekend they had another wedding celebration at Sandford Springs Golf Club and the good old British weather ensured that conditions were very different this time! The rain started soon after the happy couple arrived in a stretch limo, but it was no problem as the venue has another function room upstairs which was ideal for a few group photos.

A brief break in the rain allowed us to get outside for some more photos in the clubhouse garden, before everyone sat down for the meal. After the speeches, the rain seemed set in for the day, but Marcie and Nigel made use of a pair of stylish umbrellas to get a few more photos at the very picturesque wooden bridge next to the first tee. Back inside the clubhouse, the celebrations continued to the sounds of the excellent blues rock band Sam Paine Trio, who had everyone up on the dance floor.

Here is a quick preview of the photos.

Debbie & Paul – Wedding Photography at Wokefield Park

Good Friday saw the wedding of Debbie and Paul at the fabulous Mansion House at Wokefield Park, near Reading. The early rain didn’t dampen the spirits and the whole day went very smoothly, with the skillful help of professional toastmaster, Chris Poole. After completing most of the group shots inside the hotel, the sun came out and we managed to get out into the stunning grounds for some photographs of the happy couple.

Following the wedding breakfast and speeches, the guests were entertained in the bar by the superb pianist and singer Phil Amos, who had them dancing and singing along for a couple of hours until the evening party started.

Here are a few photos from the day.
