It was another glorious day for Sophie and Tom’s wedding at St Nicholas Church in Newbury town centre and reception at Oakley Hall. A late morning wedding meant an early start for photography of Sophie’s preparations at home, before making the short drive across town to meet Tom at the church.

After the wedding service and a few photos outside the church, the happy couple enjoyed the views across Watership Down during the drive to Oakley Hall in a white Rolls Royce. Meanwhile, the photographer travelled at a slightly less sedate pace to get there first and be ready to capture some shots of their arrival. 🙂

This was my third wedding of the year at Oakley Hall and it is definitely one of my favourite venues with friendly, helpful staff and some great locations for photography inside and out. Here are a few shots from the day.

It was another sunny day at Oakley Hall for the wedding of Louise and Nick on 4th June and quite a bit warmer than the last time I’d been there for a wedding in March. The happy couple had a few surprises for their guests, including the whole bridal party dancing down the aisle after the ceremony, an excellent Elvis tribute performer at the start of the meal and a variation on the usual slow first dance in the evening.  It all made for a fun day for everyone and it was our pleasure to be there as their wedding photographers.
