Janine & Luke – Engagement Session at Royal Victoria Country Park

Janine and Luke are getting married in just four weeks now, so this morning we met at the lovely Royal Victoria Country Park at Netley Abbey near Southampton to take a few pictures and help them get used to the camera for their wedding photography. The country park holds many memories for me, as I lived just down the road as a teenager and often came here with my first SLR camera when I was learning photography back in the 1980s, so it’s always nice to come back.

It was a gorgeous sunny morning and very enjoyable to walk around the park, take a few photos and chat to Janine and Luke about their wedding, which will be at St Boniface church in Chandlers Ford and afterwards at the Kings Court Masonic Centre.

Here are a few previews for you guys and the rest will be ready soon.

Marcie & Nigel – Wedding Celebration at Sandford Springs

Marcie and Nigel were married in the Philippines back in January and celebrated their wedding on the beach. Over the Easter weekend they had another wedding celebration at Sandford Springs Golf Club and the good old British weather ensured that conditions were very different this time! The rain started soon after the happy couple arrived in a stretch limo, but it was no problem as the venue has another function room upstairs which was ideal for a few group photos.

A brief break in the rain allowed us to get outside for some more photos in the clubhouse garden, before everyone sat down for the meal. After the speeches, the rain seemed set in for the day, but Marcie and Nigel made use of a pair of stylish umbrellas to get a few more photos at the very picturesque wooden bridge next to the first tee. Back inside the clubhouse, the celebrations continued to the sounds of the excellent blues rock band Sam Paine Trio, who had everyone up on the dance floor.

Here is a quick preview of the photos.

Debbie & Paul – Wedding Photography at Wokefield Park

Good Friday saw the wedding of Debbie and Paul at the fabulous Mansion House at Wokefield Park, near Reading. The early rain didn’t dampen the spirits and the whole day went very smoothly, with the skillful help of professional toastmaster, Chris Poole. After completing most of the group shots inside the hotel, the sun came out and we managed to get out into the stunning grounds for some photographs of the happy couple.

Following the wedding breakfast and speeches, the guests were entertained in the bar by the superb pianist and singer Phil Amos, who had them dancing and singing along for a couple of hours until the evening party started.

Here are a few photos from the day.

Clare & Martyn – Wedding at Oakley Hall

Clare and Martyn were married at the impressive country house hotel of Oakley Hall on Friday 5th March 2010. It was a beautiful sunny day, but the wind made it quite cold to be outside for long. Clare braved the conditions though to get some romantic shots with her new husband around the stunning grounds of this superb 18th century venue.

Here is a quick preview of the photos for the happy couple to see while they are away on honeymoon.

Katherine & Steve – Wedding at St Michael’s Church & Audleys Wood

Katherine and Steve were married on Saturday at St. Michael’s church in Basingstoke and had their reception at the lovely Audleys Wood hotel. After all the rain last week and the cold winds of Friday, the weather behaved well for them, staying mostly dry with just a few showers. We were especially pleased that the rain stayed away for the firework show which kicked off the evening celebrations  with a bang!

Here are a few preview shots for the happy couple before they fly off for their honeymoon on Wednesday.
