Mel & Ben – Pre-Wedding Photo Shoot in Basingstoke

Mel and Ben’s wedding is later this month at All Saints Church in Basingstoke, so we went to the nearby War Memorial Park for a pre-wedding photo session.

Their daughters, who will be bridesmaids on the big day, came along to get used to the camera as well and easily took it all in their stride. 🙂

Kelly & Ian – Wedding Photography at Hook House Hotel

The weather was perfect for Kelly and Ian’s lovely Easter wedding at Hook House Hotel, so the happy couple and their guests could make the most of the beautiful grounds. After the speeches, where Kelly surprised Ian with a card signed by the Chelsea football team, the younger guests were kept amused with an egg hunt in the gardens. Here are a few highlights from a very enjoyable day.

Tanvi & Vishal – Wedding Photography in India

Photographing this wedding was a fantastic experience from start to finish, but the excitement, colour and emotion of the main event was the highlight of the week for me. Our thanks to Tanvi and Vishal for inviting us to India to cover their wedding, and to their family for making us welcome and looking after us so well while we were there. Here is a small selection of shots from the evening of the wedding, with more to be seen on the Facebook Page.

Tanvi & Vishal’s Wedding – Vidhi

The morning of the wedding day started at the bridal house for Tanvi’s Vidhi. The ceremonies started with Ganesh Sthapan and Mandap Ropan, before the Pithi, where the bride’s skin is covered with a turmeric paste. Outside the house, the bride’s parents, uncle and aunt performed the Grah Shanti. The morning events ended with the Varadh, where the ladies carried pots through the streets from the nearby temple, accompanied by the band and a few firecrackers! With the sun getting quite hot by lunchtime, this certainly made quite a change from some of my recent weddings in the snow!

Here are just a few highlights, with more on the Facebook Page.

Tanvi & Vishal’s Wedding – Varadh

After a late night at the Garba, there was no time for a lie-in as we had an early start in the morning. Tanvi went to Vishal’s village to join ladies from his family carrying pots through the streets, behind a very loud band. The procession was followed by a meal, hosted by the groom’s father, to which the whole village was invited. Here are a few shots from this event and more can be seen on the Facebook page.
