Charlotte and Luke’s wedding was at Holy Trinity Church in Hawley on Friday, with the reception at the always fabulous Elvetham Hotel. After a week of proper summer weather, the rain showers in the morning, while Charlotte was getting ready at her mums house, were as unexpected as they were unwelcome. Thankfully, by the time the stunning bride arrived at the church for the lunchtime service, the rain had stopped and the weather got better as the day progressed.
With the formalities complete and a few photographs taken outside the church, it was off to the Elvetham for the reception. The happy couple enjoyed a slow drive to the hotel, to allow their guests time to check in, and arrived quietly to get a few photos with the car in front of the stunning country mansion hotel. This gave everyone time to gather in the Elvethams beautiful gardens so that Charlotte and Luke could make their grand entrance and receive the congratulations of their family and friends. After drinks and more photographs, it was time for the wedding breakfast in the conservatory, followed by some hilarious and quite emotional speeches – they almost had me going at times! The celebrations continued with the arrival of the evening guests and the last thing for me to photograph was an excellent firework show.
Here are a few shots from the day.
Ian, I especially enjoyed these photos! This couple certainly had this wedding planned to the smallest detail…The couple is absolutely gorgeous. I loved how symmetrical the female attendants dresses were…the angle of the flowers at the shoulder for the “big” girls and swirl of flowers around the skirt for the “little girls made the photographs just pull together so nicely…loved the colors! You did an excellent job as always! I so enjoy going to these weddings from my armchair LOL
Thank you Tina! Yes, I know Charlotte and Luke were planning their big day for a long time and all the hard work paid off. It was a fantastic day. 🙂
