Just a week after my previous wedding at The Elvetham Hotel, I was very happy to be back again for Serena and Dale’s big day! I was assisted again by my son and lighting man, Steve, and we started at The Elvetham, where Serena, her mum and bridesmaids were getting ready in the hotel before driving to church in a couple of lovely vintage cars. The sun was shining and excitement was building as the girls had their make-up done and watched through the window while the tables were being prepared for the reception in the conservatory below.
When the ladies were all ready and we’d taken a few portraits at the hotel, it was time for the short drive to All Saints Church in Dogmersfield, where we met Dale and his best man, and brother, Matt. The men were a bit concerned as their parents were having a bit of trouble finding the church, but they soon arrived safely before the bride and all was good. A lovely service was followed by confetti and a few photos outside the church, before everyone headed back to the Elvetham for the reception.
If I only ever got to be a wedding photographer at The Elvetham, I don’t think I could get tired of it. Every time I’ve been to this wonderful venue, it has been a memorable day with lovely people and this was no exception. The weather was fine and everyone was relaxed and had a great time. The evening celebrations started with entertainment from the excellent soul singer James Franklin and I left Serena and Dale to dance the night away with their guests, after photographing another excellent firework display.
Here are a few shots from the day.
Beautiful & moody pictures Ian and a Lovely couple!
