Nicky & Peter – Wedding Photography at Basingstoke Country Hotel

As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, Sally and I were married at the Basingstoke Country Hotel, so it’s always nice to return. The first Saturday in November saw my third wedding of the year at the hotel and this time it was Nicky and Peter’s big day. Another very happy day it was too, with a lovely group of people who made it a pleasure for us to be there as wedding photographers. Here are a few highlights from the day.

Tammie & Ian – Wedding Photography at The Red Lion Hotel, Basingstoke

It was a mainly bright autumn day for Tammie and Ian’s wedding at the Red Lion Hotel, in Basingstoke town centre. There were a few showers around, but it stayed dry at the right times to allow photography outside. Tammie arrived with her dad in a vintage Austin, driven by Barry of Something Old Vintage Cars. After the ceremony, the happy couple travelled in the vintage car for the short trip to the nearby War Memorial Park for some photos and then enjoyed a longer drive around the one-way system to get back to the hotel.

Here are a few photos from a very happy and enjoyable day.

Rowenna & Paul – Wedding Photography at Wadhurst Castle

A late afternoon ceremony gave us plenty of time for the long drive to Wadhurst Castle in East Sussex for the wedding of Rowenna and Paul. It was a beautiful day and, when we arrived at the castle, it looked stunning in the bright autumn sunshine. Photography started in the old coach house, where Rowenna and her mum were getting ready with make up artist Linda. Wadhurst Castle really is a lovely setting for a wedding and the coach house is ideal for bridal preparations, with plenty of space and light.

Over in the castle itself, the tables were all set for the wedding breakfast and I photographed all the details, before getting some shots with the boys around the grounds. The wedding ceremony was in the winter garden, which opens straight out onto the gardens where the happy couple were greeted by their guests and shower of confetti.

This was a lovely relaxed wedding, everything went to plan and everyone had a great time. Thanks for inviting us to be your wedding photographers and guests guys and best wishes for a happy future together. 🙂

Here are a few highlights from the day.

Lydia & Mark – Wedding Photography at Basingstoke Country Hotel

The sun was shining on the Barcelo Basingstoke Country Hotel for the wedding of Lydia & Mark. Photography started when I met Mark and his sons outside the hotel, shortly before the wedding. Then it was time to get a few detail shots and photos of the guests arriving, before taking a few portraits of Lydia and her mother in the courtyard. Both ladies looked stunning as they linked arms and walked into the ceremony room for the wedding.

After the wedding ceremony and a few photos in the courtyard and around the hotel, I left them to enjoy their wedding breakast and celebrate into the evening.

Here are a few shots from the day – family and friends can see the full set on Lydia and Mark’s private gallery.

Vicky & Mat – Wedding Photography at Hook House Hotel

Vicky and Mat’s wedding was at Hook House Hotel, a very attractive grade II Georgian listed building with beautiful lawned grounds and a lovely walled garden outside the marquee. It certainly provides plenty of opportunities for a wedding photographer and the weather was kind to us on the day. After a few showers early on, the clouds cleared and when Vicky and Mat walked out from the ceremony as husband and wife, the sun was shining on them.

It was a lovely happy day, everything went according to plan and everyone seemed to be having fun. Thanks Vicky and Mat, it was a real pleasure to be your wedding photographer. Here are a few previews of your photos, with lots more to come soon. 🙂
