Wedding Photography in Kent | Kirsty & Mark

We were down in Kent at Easter for another family wedding. This time it was the turn of Mark and Kirsty, who were married at The Manor Gatehouse in Dartford, with a reception at Elite Venue in Gravesend. The Manor Gatehouse is a charming, historic old building with a lovely garden for photos and the weather was kind enough to allow us to make full use of it. Later, at the reception, Sally and I were able to enjoy the evening as guests as well as wedding photographers. Here are a few of my favourites from the day.

Engagement Photo Shoot in Fleet | Amy & Matt

Amy and Matt are getting married in August at St John’s church in Cove. We started their engagement photo shoot at the Lismoyne Hotel in Fleet, where they will be having their reception. After taking a few photos in the gardens and having a look around the venue together, we drove to Fleet Pond to get some more shots around the water. My couples get to keep all of their engagement photos, so it’s always nice to take some in a different location from the wedding. Here are some of my favourites from a fun morning in Fleet and I’m looking forward to the big day in August.

Rebecca & Matt | Wedding Photography in Buckinghamshire

Rebecca and Matt were married early in the new year at St Joseph’s Church in Gerrards Cross. The cold wet weather in the morning certainly made it feel like a winter wedding, but the rain did stop by the time we got to the Odney Club in Cookham for the reception. Rebecca braved the cold with no complaints to get some photos in the lovely grounds of the Odney Club, before going into the warmth of the venue for the meal. Rainy days in January are not blessed with the best natural light and I have to thank various temporary lighting assistants during the day, including the grooms sister, the brides brother and a couple of groomsmen who all made my job much easier. Thank you! Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day.

Engagement Photos in London | Rebecca & Matt

Rebecca and Matt’s wedding is coming up very early in the New Year, so a few weeks ago we met in London for their engagement photo shoot. Starting at St Paul’s we walked in a loop via Blackfriars Bridge and Millennium Bridge, to finish up back where we started. I do enjoy doing engagement shoots in London because there are so many great spots for photos and I found a few new ones this time with Rebecca and Matt. I’m looking forward to meeting them again at their wedding in a couple of weeks in Buckinghamshire. Here are a few of their engagement photos.

Wedding Photography at HMS Excellent in Portsmouth

Clare and Paul’s big day came around a few weeks back and what a day it was too. Sally and I arrived at Clare’s parents house in the morning where she was getting ready with her four bridesmaids and flower girl. When everyone was ready, we took some photos in the beautifully kept garden, before the short drive to St. Cuthbert’s Church for the wedding. The reception was at HMS Excellent on Whale Island, which is quite an exclusive venue as it is not generally available for public use. The venue was also quite appropriate for a wedding so meticulously planned by Clare that it would rival a military operation. She thought of everything and the day unfolded perfectly. Here are a few of my favourite shots.
