I enjoyed spending a couple of hours with Nisha and Chris to take their wedding photos at Basingstoke Registration Office. There is something wonderfully personal about a small wedding ceremony, and this intimate celebration was a perfect example. Surrounded by their closest family members, the couple exchanged vows in the elegant Carnarvon ceremony room before enjoying a relaxed photography session nearby.

Originally built in the 19th century as a private residence, the property later became an important civic building for the town. After the ceremony, we began taking family group photographs in front of the building. The attractive brickwork, period windows, and landscaped entrance created a timeless setting for these important images. As a result, the family portraits felt both formal and relaxed.
Next, we moved on to capture the couple’s portraits in the War Memorial Park. Conveniently located next to Goldings, the park offers a variety of attractive locations for wedding photography. In particular, the traditional bandstand adds charm and character to photographs. Its classic design creates a romantic focal point and works beautifully in all seasons.
The mature trees, open green spaces, and well-maintained pathways also provide plenty of opportunities for natural and relaxed portraits. Furthermore, the short walking distance from the register office means couples can enjoy a varied gallery without spending time travelling between locations.
